Plain English summary: give 24 hours notice to cancel, weather cancellations get rescheduled, purchases are not refundable but unused lessons can usually become credit, and if you save a card it gets charged automatically after each lesson. The sections below are the version that actually governs.
These terms are an agreement between you and PlayForge Athletics ("PlayForge", "we", "us") covering private tennis lessons purchased or attended in League City, Friendswood, and the surrounding area.
By purchasing a lesson or a lesson package, or by attending a lesson, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and any minor athlete you are registering. If you do not agree, do not purchase or attend.
Speed and agility group classes and monthly plans are covered by the separate registration and waiver form for that program. Sections 12 through 17 below apply to all PlayForge programs.
Every participant must have a completed liability waiver on file before taking part in a first lesson. Where the participant is a minor, a parent or legal guardian completes it. An adult participant completes it on their own behalf. The waiver only needs to be completed once.

If a participant arrives for a lesson without a completed waiver, the lesson cannot go ahead. That lesson is treated as a late cancellation under Section 5.
Current private tennis lesson rates:
Lesson times and locations are arranged directly with Coach Rheise. A lesson is confirmed once a day and time have been agreed. Lessons are held at public and club courts in and around League City and Friendswood, and the specific court is confirmed ahead of each lesson.
Package lessons remain valid until they are used. Packages may be shared between siblings living in the same household. Packages may not be resold or transferred outside that household.
If PlayForge Athletics stops offering tennis lessons, any unused lessons are refunded at the price paid.
Give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson and there is no charge. Notice by text, call, or email all count.
With less than 24 hours notice, or if the participant does not show up, the lesson is charged in full at the applicable rate, or deducted from the package, because the court time and the coach's time were held for you.
If Coach Rheise cancels a lesson for any reason, that lesson is rescheduled at no charge and is not counted as used.
For semi-private lessons, this policy applies per player. If one player cancels late or does not show, the session still goes ahead for everyone else, and that player is charged their share. Everyone who attends pays the rate the group booked at, not a higher rate for the smaller group.
Lessons end at the scheduled time regardless of when the participant arrives, so that the next family on the court is not pushed back. There is no partial credit or extension for a late start. If you know you are running late, let Coach Rheise know as early as you can.
Tennis lessons are held outdoors. If a lesson is cancelled because of weather, lightning, or unplayable court conditions, that lesson is rescheduled to the next time that works for both sides.
A weather cancellation is never treated as a used lesson and is never forfeited. It is rescheduled rather than credited or refunded.
Coach Rheise makes the final call on whether conditions are safe to play in.
All lesson and package purchases are final and non refundable.
If you cancel a lesson you have already paid for and you give the notice required in Section 5, that lesson is credited toward your next lesson rather than refunded to your card. Nothing is lost, it simply moves.
If circumstances change, such as an injury or a move out of the area, contact us. Unused package lessons may be converted to account credit toward other PlayForge services at our discretion. Section 4 covers the one case where a refund is issued.
This section describes what you are agreeing to when you choose to save a card. Read it before you check the box at checkout.
When you book a single lesson and choose to save your payment details, your card is stored by Stripe, our payment processor. PlayForge receives only a secure token from Stripe. We never see, handle, or store your full card number.
By saving a card, you authorize PlayForge Athletics to charge it, without further approval at the time of each charge, for:
Stripe emails you a receipt for every charge. If a charge looks wrong, contact us and we will correct it.
You may remove your card at any time by emailing or texting Coach Rheise. Removal takes effect going forward and does not cancel amounts already owed for lessons that have already taken place. Removing a card does not cancel scheduled lessons, and Section 5 still applies to them.
If you believe you were charged in error, contact us first at PlayForgeAthletics@gmail.com or (281) 317-0629. Almost everything gets sorted out the same day.
Filing a card dispute without contacting us first may result in lessons being suspended and services being discontinued.
Tennis involves running, sprinting, changes of direction, and contact with a ball and racquet. Injury is possible. By participating, you accept that risk.
You agree to tell Coach Rheise about any medical condition, injury, allergy, or medication that could affect participation or emergency care. Keeping that current is important, because we rely on what you tell us.
The signed waiver covers this ground in full: assumption of risk, the release of liability, indemnification, your confirmation that the participant is fit to take part, and your authorization for us to seek emergency medical care. Those provisions live on the waiver because they need your signature, and the waiver controls on all of them. This section is a summary and nothing more.
PlayForge may take photos or video during lessons and use them to show the program on our website and social media. Participants are not identified by full name.
If you would rather your athlete not appear, tell us in writing at PlayForgeAthletics@gmail.com and we will honor that, including removing existing images where we can.
We expect athletes and the adults with them to treat coaches, other players, facilities, and equipment with respect.
PlayForge may end a lesson, or end the coaching relationship, in response to unsafe, abusive, or repeatedly disruptive behavior.
If a participant is removed from a single session for one of those reasons, that session is not credited or refunded. If we end the coaching relationship entirely, any unused package lessons are credited.
Facilities may have their own rules. Please follow them.
Rates may change. Any change is posted on this site before it takes effect. Packages already purchased are honored at the price paid, and card on file customers are told before a new rate applies to their lessons.
We collect what we need to run lessons: participant and parent names, contact details, and any health information you choose to share. Payment information is collected and stored by Stripe under their terms, not by us.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it except where needed to run the program or where the law requires it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute is handled in the state or federal courts located in Galveston County, Texas.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and changes apply to purchases made after they are posted.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Together with the signed waiver, these terms are the entire agreement between us about tennis lessons.
Which document controls. The signed waiver and these terms are written to cover different ground, and neither repeats the other. The signed waiver controls on assumption of risk, release of liability, indemnification, medical authorization, physical condition, and media use. These terms control on pricing, packages, scheduling, cancellation, refunds and credits, and payment including any card kept on file. If the two ever appear to conflict on a subject, the document named above for that subject is the one that applies.
